For example, you take a picture of a blueprint with a digital camera and then export a scaled PDF file of the blueprint that you can email or have printed out. (to any scale or papersize you want)

Also simply make different size documents that can be scaled. For example reduce a 11x17 to a 8 1/2 x 11 and make it 1/8 instead of 1/4 scale.
